Teluk Bayur Port Branch, formerly named Emmahaven, was built in the Dutch colonial era between the year of 1888 to 1893 in Padang city. Teluk Bayur Port is an open ocean port for international trade activities in the province of West Sumatera. This port has some areas that are centers of economic activity in West Sumatera include Muara Padang and Air Bangis. Teluk Bayur Port currently has a standard service procedure based on ISO 9002.

Teluk Bayur Port has been equipped with modern equipment that is capable of handling various kinds of goods among other bulk goods such as coal, cement, clinker, CPO and commodities using container such as cinnamon, tea, molding, furniture and rubber, which is the main export commodities to the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa.
